The Day of Week origin

In 2021, we travelled farm to farm across Norway to understand the real challenges facing local farmers and professional kitchens. What we discovered was not a lack of quality, but a lack of connection, structure and scalable systems. Day of Week was founded to bridge that gap, and transform food into local food experiences.

Foodtures

The idea of Day of Week was founded in Norway, built on two generations and a shared belief that access to healthy and local produce deserves a stronger place in the global economy.

What started as a journey across farms and kitchens has evolved into a market- and technology-driven system connecting hospitality, chefs, farmers and destinations through insight, design and scalable infrastructure.

Today, Foodtures is the team and growing community behind Day of Week bringing together F&B-management, chefs, farmers and food lovers around a shared belief: that local produce and access to food with stories and impact deserves a stronger, smarter and more joyful place in the world.

PhD and specialist in clinical nutrition at Oslo University Hospital, with leadership experience including Head of Nutrition at the Norwegian Dairy Council and extensive research in nutrition and public health.
