Scaling Authenticity: Why We Built Day of Week to Transform the Global Food System

A few years ago, we took a significant leap of faith and founded Day of Week. We didn't do it just to build another tech company; we did it because we realized that essential societal shifts wouldn't happen unless someone was willing to challenge established systems.

We saw that technology was about to radically reshape our world, and we wanted to ensure that change was directed toward the common good.

While many speak about the potential of innovation, few truly harness the power of technology to drive systemic change. Today, AI and advanced software are creating a widening gap between those who fully utilize these tools and those who do not, a divide that is becoming self-reinforcing.

At Day of Week, we have no interest in operating on the fringes of innovation. We set out to work with the best minds in the industry and build a company that the best talent would be proud to call home.

Day of Week

A Purpose-Driven Approach

Day of Week is a purpose-driven technology company at the vanguard of digital transformation. Our mission is to accelerate and scale local food systems through continuous innovation for farmers, hospitality and the world's food curious.

We chose to focus our efforts on the food system. Currently, the global food market is locked in a destructive cycle of price competition centered on mass-produced goods. In this race to the bottom, quality, taste, health, and environmental sustainability have been cast aside.

The “true price” of the food we eat is often double what we pay at the register when you factor in the negative impact on public health and the environment. Today, very few people, even professional buyers, know exactly who produced their food or how it was made.

Local food production

If we truly care about the environment and our health, the best place to start is on our plates.

The Power of Local

If we are to change this, we must all take responsibility. We all eat three meals a day; if we truly care about the environment and our health, the best place to start is on our plates.

Local food represents the quality and taste of authentic craftsmanship. Until now, however, it has been hindered by a lack of efficient infrastructure, making it difficult to access, scale, or distribute effectively.

Building the New Infrastructure

Day of Week is building the digital food system of the future, one that makes it possible to scale local, high-quality food globally. Our platform is an engine for continuous innovation: while others may take months or years to implement changes, we roll out new solutions in minutes and hours.

Our unique system architecture allows us to build almost anything with an efficiency and scalability the market has never seen before.

What we're unlocking

  • Massive, underutilized economic power of local food
  • Systemic impact on health, communities, and climate
  • Consumer-driven growth through “meal tourism”
  • Local food made accessible, profitable, and scalable
Hospitality and food experiences

We are creating a global growth engine driven by consumer demand, making local food accessible, profitable, and scalable for the travel and hospitality industries.

Day of Week

Through our system, we are unlocking the massive, underutilized economic power of local food. This isn't just about groceries; it's about a systemic shift with a fundamental impact on health, local communities, and the climate.

“Prepare for the unexpected. At Day of Week, we embrace the tools of tomorrow to honor local traditions.”
